Contención

The images in CONTENCIÓN approach the male body as a space of tension rather than display. The figure is sustained, compressed, extended, exposed, and repeatedly brought back to the limits of its own physical presence.

Strength here is neither narrative nor performative; it is structural. Gesture takes the place of expression, while the face is concealed, obstructed, or displaced, shifting attention away from identity and toward weight, balance, pressure, and form. The body becomes architecture: mass held in tension, musculature suspended between expansion and restraint.

Nudity is presented as a fact, not as provocation—direct, unadorned, and without drama. Across the series, the body alternately occupies space and withdraws from it, revealing strength not as a fixed condition but as something continually negotiated through posture.

Taken as a whole, CONTENCIÓN proposes a physical and silent experience: the authority of the male body existing without explanation, held between exposure and self-containment.
