Contención

The images presented here approach the male body as a space of containment rather than display. They do not portray a person, but a presence held under tension: the body sustained, compressed, exposed, and folded back into itself.

The strength that emerges in these works is neither narrative nor performative; it is structural. Gesture takes the place of expression, while the face is concealed or displaced, shifting the reading away from identity and directing attention toward weight, balance, and pressure. The body becomes architecture: contained mass, muscles held in suspension, stillness attained.

Frontal nudity is presented as a fact, not as provocation. Direct, unadorned, and without drama. The images in the series reintroduce contraction and withdrawal, sustaining the tension without resolving it into narrative. Taken as a whole, CONTENCIÓN proposes a physical and silent experience: the authority of the male body simply existing, without explanation or artifice.
