Legs

LEGS reduces the body to line, gesture, and balance. Identity is withheld; the face disappears, and character is conveyed through posture alone.

Isolated from the rest of the figure, the legs become both familiar and strangely autonomous. They stand, cross, rise, and move through space with a precision that shifts them away from portraiture and toward abstraction. The body becomes a structure of curves, angles, weight, and suspension.

Footwear introduces another kind of tension. High heels extend and reshape the body while simultaneously restricting it, placing elegance and instability within the same gesture. Beauty is constructed through balance, but that balance is never entirely effortless.

Moving between sensuality and form, attraction and distance, LEGS considers how little of the body is needed before we begin to assign character, confidence, vulnerability, or desire.

What remains is not a portrait of a person, but the presence of the body itself: poised, anonymous, and suspended between stillness and movement.
